HOL Guard is an open-source (Apache-2.0), local-first runtime control plane for AI coding agents. Instead of trusting the model, it checks MCP servers, plugins, skills, and tool calls on your machine before they run. Teams can add the optional hosted, fully managed Guard Cloud. Install: pipx install hol-guard && hol-guard init. It is not a gateway or network firewall and not a complete prompt-injection defense. Maker: HOL.
